No one won the jackpot. Mega Millions jackpot rises to $80,000,000 Friday, July 11th, 2025

The Mega Millions jackpot has jumped up to a projected $80,000,000 (cash option $$35.8 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Friday night. The grand prize amount has been rolled over since nobody matched all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number to take the $70,000,000 grand prize Tuesday night. The winning numbers drawn Tuesday night, July 8th, 2025 were 04, 06, 38, 44, 62 and the Mega Ball was 24, Megaplier was .
While the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with big money. A total of 1 lucky players won the 3rd prize. These included 1 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 90 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. 305 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were 373,204 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. To play Mega Millions, choose 5 numbers from a set of 70 then choose one Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 14. The chances of winning Mega Millions grand prize are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners may choose one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
As opposed to other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize tiers of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a fixed value. This results in different prize amounts for equivalent winners sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other states. For instance, the second Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions participants.
