Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot moves to $576,000,000; 1 ticket matched the first five numbers

The grand prize in the Mega Millions multi-state lottery game has been rolled up to $576,000,000. The cash value stands at $$253.9 million. The prize amount was rolled over because no one matched all 6 winning numbers in Friday's $542,000,000 drawing. The next Mega Millions drawing is Tuesday night. The numbers drawn Friday night, July 3rd, 2026 were 05, 09, 29, 47, 57 with Mega Ball 16 and Megaplier . The Mega Millions grand prize has been growing for 133 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.One lucky winner from IL walked away with $344 million jackpot in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
Although the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There was a single ticket that correctly matched all 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in won a million dollar cash each.
Also, 5 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. The chances of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
Unlike other Mega Millions participants, all the 9 prize levels of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This leads to different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 lotteries. For instance, the second Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not have Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
