Without a grand prize winner in the latest drawing, the Mega Millions multistate lottery game has carried over its jackpot to $95,000,000 for Tuesday night's drawing. The cash option will be a projected $$41.6 million up for grab. No one hit all 5 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number to win the $77,000,000 grand prize Friday. The next Mega Millions lottery drawing will be at 10:59 PM Tuesday night. The numbers from Friday, January 10th, 2025 drawing were 09, 23, 39, 65, 66 and the Mega Ball was 22, Megaplier was 3.
Though the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. 10 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. These included 10 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Also, 186 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 477 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.

Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. sold in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. It holds the record biggest jackpot in North American lottery history. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Mega Millions uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times except grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout instead.
Compared with other Mega Millions states, all the 9 prize tiers of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This leads to different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 Mega Millions states. Such as, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions participants.
