Tuesday's Mega Millions lottery grand prize rolled up to $215,000,000, because nobody hit all six winning numbers drawn Friday night. The cash value for Tuesday will be an estimated $$98.3 million. Friday's $199,000,000 is the total payout - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annual installments. The numbers from Friday night, January 9th, 2026 were 12-30-36-42-47 with Mega Ball 16 and Megaplier X. Nobody won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 83 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
Even though the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. 8 third prize winning tickets were sold across the U.S.. These included 8 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
In addition, 136 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 369 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
