Friday's Mega Millions jackpot leaps to $199,000,000; 1 ticket won the second prize

The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing leaped to $199,000,000 for the Friday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at a projected $$90.5 million. None of the tickets sold for Tuesday's $180,000,000 drawing hit five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number. The numbers from Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 drawing were 09-39-47-58-68 and the Mega Ball was 24, Megaplier was .
Although the grand prize was not awarded Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was only one lucky ticket matched the first five numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in , each won one million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 4 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday night included 135 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500.
