Without a big winner in the last drawing, the Mega Millions multistate lottery game has carried over its grand prize to $165,000,000 for Friday night's drawing. The cash option will be an estimated $$75.1 million. No player matched all six winning numbers to win the $145,000,000 jackpot Tuesday. The next Mega Millions game drawing will be at 10:59 PM Friday night. The winning numbers from Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 drawing were 01-20-25-58-61 with Mega Ball number 22 and Megaplier X2.
Even though the jackpot was not hit Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were a total of 9 3rd prize winning tickets. These included 9 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Tuesday night included 174 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. 513 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

Mega Millions is played in 43 states and Washington DC. It holds the record largest jackpot of $656 million in North American lottery history. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. To play, choose 5 numbers from a set of 70 and choose 1 Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
Contrary to other Mega Millions states, all the nine prize levels of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This causes different prize amounts for equivalent winners sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other states. For example, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery doesn't have Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
