One winner won $96 million grand prize from the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night

Someone is celebrating in , and for good reason. A single ticket has won the jackpot from the most recent Mega Millions drawing. Lottery officials said the winning ticket from Tuesday night's drawing worth $96 million was purchased in . The identity of the newest millionaire has not been determined, nor has the location of the ticket purchase. The numbers from Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 drawing were 01, 36, 44, 54, 66 and the Mega Ball was 10, Megaplier was 3. The winner can take a cash option worth $69.4 million before taxes, or choose to receive 30-year annuity option with annual payment in the amount of $3.69 million before taxes. The jackpot winner is encouraged to sign the ticket, put it in a secure place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the opportunity to select the cash value of the jackpot while claiming the prize. If the winner doesn't make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
Besides the grand prize hit on Tuesday, more players walked away with large winnings. There was a single lucky player that correctly matched all five lotto numbers and won the second prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in , each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 9 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 236 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $500. Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a pari-mutuel jackpot game.
