Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $96 million; 5 tickets won the second prize

The multi-state Mega Millions lottery grand prize has jumped to $96 million dollars after there was no grand prize winner in Friday's drawing. The cash option will be a projected $69.4 million. The winning numbers from Friday, February 12th, 2021 drawing were 05, 14, 24, 25, 27 with Mega Ball 14 and Megaplier X3. No one won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 764 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.One lucky player from Maryland won the $189 million top prize in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.
Even though the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There were 5 lucky players that matched all five numbers and won the second prize. The 5 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in won a million dollar cash each.
Other prizes won Friday evening included 21 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 608 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 1311 tickets that matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With 9 ways to win, there were a total of 1,340,410 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, February 12th, 2021 drawing.

This leads to different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other forty three lotteries.
