No one won the jackpot. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot leaps to $425,000,000

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune is going to be up for grabs on Tuesday, when Mega Millions lottery has $425,000,000 on the line. The cash value will be an estimated $$202 million. Mega Millions' jackpot went up because no one hit all 6 winning numbers drawn Friday night. The numbers from Friday, February 9th, 2024 drawing were 17-22-29-46-69 and the Mega Ball was 01, Megaplier was 3. The Mega Millions jackpot has been rolling over for 18 draws since Tuesday, December 12th, 2023. Two lucky players from CA(2) won the jackpot in Friday, December 8th, 2023 drawing and split $395 million.
Though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, some people still walked away with big money. A total of 26 lucky tickets won the third prize. These included 26 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other winners Friday night included 332 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 926 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $200.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. It holds the record largest jackpot of $656 million in U.S. lottery history. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back for the players in prize winnings. Around 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. This causes different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other forty three lotteries. As an example, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery doesn't have Megaplier like other Mega Millions participants.
