No ticket matched all 6 numbers. Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $68 million Tuesday, February 9th, 2021

There were no Mega Millions game jackpot winners for Friday's $54 million dollar drawing, so the grand prize will leap to a projected $68 million with the cash option at $49.6 million Tuesday, February 9th, 2021. The numbers drawn Friday night, February 5th, 2021 were 14, 17, 28, 29, 44 with Mega Ball 02 and Megaplier x4. Nobody won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past 762 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.One lucky player from Maryland walked away with $189 million top prize in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.
Though the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. There were a total of 26 third prize winning tickets. These included 26 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other winners Friday evening included 436 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $500. There were 1158 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were 1,321,316 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, February 5th, 2021 drawing.
Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. To play, choose 5 numbers from a set of 70 then pick one Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times except grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
Contrary to other Mega Millions participants, all the 9 prize tiers of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This leads to different amounts of prize for equivalent winners sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 states. For example, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions participants.
