Nobody hit the jackpot. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $114,000,000

Without a big winner in the latest drawing, the Mega Millions multistate lottery game has rolled over the jackpot to $114,000,000 for Tuesday night's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at a projected $$56.6 million up for grab. Nobody hit all 5 white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $92,000,000 jackpot Friday. The next Mega Millions lottery drawing is going to be at 10:59 PM Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Friday, December 29th, 2023 drawing were 11-27-30-62-70 and the Mega Ball was 10, Megaplier was 3.
While there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There were a total of 13 third prize lucky winners. Among them, 13 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Also, 228 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 695 tickets that matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.

Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prize winnings. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The odds of winning is about 1 to 14. The chances of winning Mega Millions grand prize are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may select one lump-sum cash payout instead.
Unlike other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize tiers of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, as opposed to non-jackpot prize having a fixed value. This leads to different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other states. Such as, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery doesn't offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
