Friday's Mega Millions jackpot increases to $92,000,000; 2 tickets matched the first five numbers

The grand prize in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery is on the move. Because nobody correctly hit all six numbers in Tuesday's drawing, the grand prize will leap to $92,000,000! The lump-sum cash payout stands at $$45.9 million. The numbers from Tuesday, December 26th, 2023 drawing were 08-10-22-58-64 with Mega Ball 21 and Megaplier 3.
While there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were 2 lucky tickets correctly matched the first 5 numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in MO(2) won $1,000,000 cash each.
Other prizes won Tuesday night included 10 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 215 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $500. As opposed to other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize tiers of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a set value. This results in different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in California when compared to those sold in other forty three Mega Millions states. For example, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery.
