The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing climbed to $90,000,000 for the Friday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at a projected $$40.8 million. No ticket sold for Tuesday's $80,000,000 drawing matched six numbers. The numbers from Tuesday, December 16th, 2025 drawing were 20, 24, 46, 59, 65 with Mega Ball number 07 and Megaplier .
While there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. A total of 4 lucky tickets won the 3rd prize. These included 4 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Tuesday night included 133 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. There were 389 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.

This causes different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in California when compared to those sold in other Mega Millions states. For example, the second Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions participants.
