No jackpot ticket sold last night. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot increases to $90,000,000

The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing climbed to $90,000,000 for the Friday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at a projected $$40.8 million. No ticket sold for Tuesday's $80,000,000 drawing matched six numbers. The numbers from Tuesday, December 16th, 2025 drawing were 20, 24, 46, 59, 65 with Mega Ball number 07 and Megaplier .
While there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. A total of 4 lucky tickets won the 3rd prize. These included 4 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Tuesday night included 133 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. There were 389 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.

Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
In contrast to other Mega Millions states, all the 9 prize levels of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a fixed value. This causes different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in California when compared to those sold in other Mega Millions states. For example, the second Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions participants.
