The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing soars to $670,000,000

The Mega Millions lottery grand prize is on the move again. The grand prize for the Friday, December 13th, 2024 drawing jumps to $670,000,000 with the lump-sum cash payout at an estimated $$317.8 million. The numbers from Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 drawing were 12, 14, 26, 48, 52 with Mega Ball number 21 and Megaplier 5. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 26 draws since Friday, September 13th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in TX, matched all six numbers for a $800 million top prize.
Even though the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There were 3 lucky winners correctly matched all 5 numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the second prize. The 3 lucky ticket(s) purchased in CA(2),MD, each won one million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 23 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 640 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. To play, pick 5 numbers from a set of 70 then choose 1 Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times except grand prize.
