The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing soars to $398,000,000

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune is going to be up for grabs on Friday, when Mega Millions game has $398,000,000 on the line. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $$197.9 million. Mega Millions' grand prize went up because no one hit all six numbers drawn Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 drawing were 23-29-36-61-70 and the Mega Ball was 22, Megaplier was 4. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 18 draws since Friday, June 7th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $560 million top prize.
Although the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There was only one ticket that correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in OH won $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional major winners Tuesday evening included 12 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 327 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers.
