Mega Millions jackpot increases to $120,000,000 Friday night; 2 second prize tickets sold

The jackpot in the Mega Millions multistate lottery game continues moving up and will be up to $120,000,000 for the next drawing on Friday. The cash value stands at an estimated $$55.8 million up for grab. The amount was rolled over because nobody hit all five white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number to win the $97,000,000 grand prize Tuesday night. The numbers from Tuesday night, April 9th, 2024 were 34, 43, 51, 52, 69 and the Mega Ball was 25, Megaplier was 4.
Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. There were 2 lucky tickets matched the first 5 white ball numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in KS,NY won $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 5 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 277 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 794 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

Mega Millions can be played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record highest jackpot in United States lottery history. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may select one lump sum cash payout instead.
In contrast to other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize tiers of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a set value. This causes different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other states.
