There were no tickets sold with all 6 winning numbers in the last multi-state Mega Millions game draw, and the estimated grand prize for Friday's drawing will grow to $120,000,000, according to lottery officials. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$52.8 million up for grab. The numbers from Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 drawing were 22, 41, 42, 59, 69 with Mega Ball 17 and Megaplier .
Although the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. 3 3rd prize winning tickets were sold across the nation. Among them, 3 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 82 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. There were 296 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine prize levels, there were 377,348 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions lottery can be played in 43 states and D.C. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prizes. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
Contrary to other Mega Millions states, all the nine prize tiers of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This leads to different amounts of prize for equivalent winners sold in California when compared to those sold in other forty three jurisdictons. For example, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery.
