Nobody matched all 6 numbers last night. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot moves to $54,000,000

With no winner in the last drawing, the Mega Millions game jackpot is going to be worth an estimated $54,000,000 (cash option $$25.7 million) the next time the multistate lottery is drawn on Tuesday. The amount rolled over because no player matched all 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $43,000,000 jackpot Friday night. The winning numbers from Friday night, April 4th, 2025 were 11-28-35-37-69 with Mega Ball 25 and Megaplier x2.
Even though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. A total of 4 lucky players won the third prize. These included 4 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Friday evening included 157 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. There were 461 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With 9 different prize levels, there were a total of 759,232 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, April 4th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is played in 43 states and Washington DC. It holds the record biggest jackpot in North American lottery history. To play Mega Millions, select 5 numbers from 1 to 70 then select one Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout instead.
In contrast to other Mega Millions states, all the nine prize tiers of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This results in different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 Mega Millions states. As an example, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
